I love you 8 days a week.

The Beatles were before my time, but that doesn’t make their lyrics any less relevant.

“Hold me, love me, hold me, love me
I ain’t got nothing but love, babe
Eight days a week” -The Beatles

Some days, I feel as though I have nothing to give my husband, and nothing to give my son, but then I remember that I have A LOT to give them, even when my feet are dragging and my attitude needs an adjustment (or I just need a good 12 hours of sleep…)

Here is how I found I can be the best wife and momma 8 days a week:

I can offer each of them my love, affection, encouragement and appreciation.

I can pray over them all day (and night!)

I can smile, laugh and dance around like a crazy person.

I can tell them how much they mean to me, and how much I adore them.

I can cook for them and clean up after them.

I can go on dates and let my husband pick the movie. 😉

I can submit myself to my husband, bite my tongue and speak only words of respect and kindness and be slow to anger.

I can do something that energizes me so I can bring the best possible me to the table at all times. (Remember, it’s vital that you take care of yourself and do something each day for YOU!)

I can wake up every day and choose joy, happiness, positivity and contentment. *It’s up to me to choose not to be a meanie, nagging, butthead wife.*

I can be in God’s word, as a daily reminder and tool to know where I am, and where I can still improve.

I can love them with all I got. ❤

“Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.”‭‭ -Ephesians‬ ‭5:22-23

All of those things are so simple (and free!!!) All of those things can make such a big difference in someone’s day. Sometimes I need to remind myself to do them- but they’re totally worth it.

I encourage you to tackle each new day with boldness, confidence and without fear- you are exactly who they need you to be, just keep doing you, do the best you can do, and love big.
