Farmhouse style with Mikasa

With our recent move from the city to the country, farmhouse style is definitely my thing (well, it always has been…but now it can actually be possible!) Rustic and simple. Crisp and clean. Earthy and calming. Continue reading

34 weeks pregnant; the honest truth

One of my goals for 2018 is to be more real, open and transparent.

I decided, and I have no clue why, to keep track (for one day!) of all the lovely things that go on when you’re 34 weeks pregnant. I’m sure it’d be funnier if I was 38 weeks pregnant and blogging about this–but 34 weeks will suffice.

I ran for school, I ran races on the weekends, I ran triathlons and ran alongside my mom in her marathon.

And despite constant injuries to different parts of my body every cross country and track season, here I am today, still running.

This time, running for two. Continue reading

I’m in a rut.

I feel like I haven’t written in ages.

It has been 24 days.

Here I am, still not having anything to write but feeling confident that as I sit here, typing, the words will just come. I’m going to take a stab and say I’m in a writing rut.

And quite possibly at the same time…a momma rut. Or a life rut. Continue reading
