With baby number two, I’m a hospital bag pro.
I totally am kidding, but I do have a few essential items that I believe should be in your bag, for baby and for you.
Being overly prepared is my thing. I had a big bag packed for Z and I when he was born. I used probably 10% of the things in there. This time—I’m only packing essentials.
And I have this bag packed 21 days before my c-section date…because you seriously never know. (And oh my goodness…21 DAYS!!!!!!!!) Continue reading
With our recent move from the city to the country, farmhouse style is definitely my thing (well, it always has been…but now it can actually be possible!) Rustic and simple. Crisp and clean. Earthy and calming. Continue reading
One of my goals for 2018 is to be more real, open and transparent.
I decided, and I have no clue why, to keep track (for one day!) of all the lovely things that go on when you’re 34 weeks pregnant. I’m sure it’d be funnier if I was 38 weeks pregnant and blogging about this–but 34 weeks will suffice.

But I wouldn’t trade any of it.
Well…maybe the swollen feet, heartburn and back pain.
So I may have just found the best mom-treat. Continue reading
When I first started “planning” my motherhood journey as an adult, I swore to myself I would never become ‘that mom’ that did different things to get her child to listen, obey or stop crying! Continue reading
I knew we wouldn’t live here forever, but I was hoping for at least five years.
I was also hoping for our kids to be two years apart in age, but we all know that didn’t happen.
And I was even hoping we’d be living in a warm, sunny place (aka: Florida) but I believe that didn’t work out because we are meant to be here, in the mitten. Continue reading
Our home is small.
It’s not a tiny house, which I would adore someday, but it is small.
And I’ve learned a lot of things from living in this small home of ours (and I’ve learned a lot of things from watching ‘Fixer Upper’ while baby naps!) One of those things is: clutter is a no-no, minimalism is the way to go. Continue reading
